Jonathan Rea - '13 Honda CBR1000RR SBK

This drawing is made with a combination of Graphite pencils and Coloured pencils on A4 sized paper. 

The Brit is most known for his team loyalty, having driven nothing else but Honda throughout all his British Superbike, World Supersport and World Superbike years. His efforts to stick with a singular manufacturer have not been unrewarded: Runner-up in the British Superbike Champsionship in 2007. Runner-up in the World Supersport Championship, a fourth best championship finish in the 2010th World Superbike Championship and, not to forget, the title of Irish Motorcycle Racer of the Year 2007, 2008 and 2011.

In recent times, Rea is seen as one of the few drivers to master the Honda CBR1000RR, picking up a couple of race wins every season since his debut for Ten Kate Honda Racing in 2009. Race wins like his magnificent double victories on Assen during the Dutch Grand Prix of 2010 and his home race wins on Donington Park 2011 and on Silverstone 2013.   

One race later of the latter race win, he crashed and broke his femur bone in Race 1 of Germany, ending his 2013 season pre-maturely as cause of a lack of yellow flags at a crash-site. 

Currently sitting in rehabilitation, the many fans of the Brit eagerly anticipate on his return in 2014 for his seventh season at Ten Kate Racing.
